It is with great pleasure that we welcome the ECRO meeting back to Spain, following the only previous meeting held here, in Granada, in 2006. More than hundred years ago in Spain, Santiago Ramón y Cajal initiated an essential work describing the morphological and functional organization of the nervous system. His work on the different sensory systems, including the chemosensory systems, helped him to make predictions on physiological neural properties that are being demonstrated nowadays. More than a century later, Cajal's groundbreaking work continues to inspire generations of scientists, including a vibrant and growing chemosensory community in Spain. In this spirit, ECRO is organizing this meeting in close collaboration with the Spanish Olfactory Network (ROE). We are excited to present a dynamic program featuring a diverse range of topics, speakers, and engaging social events. Looking forward to see you in Bilbao!
